Thanks for choosing to download my latest project, jetways for the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (KIAH) in Houston TX. Unlike my last project, KSTL jetways, I could not find specific gate assignments for each airline,so I just had to wing it. However, all airlines are located in their correct terminals. Also, due to space restrictions, I was limited in the amount of parking spots I was able to use. You will, however, find that between the commercial, cargo, and GA aircraft, there are 104 parking spots.

I have also excluded some of the default buildings and made some modifications. Terminals C and E have been made larger to accomodate more parking and there is a large area for cargo aircraft parking with two new cargo buildings. Believe it or not, one of the default buldings I excluded was sticking right out into a taxiway!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Simply extract this entire zip archive to your FS9\Addon Scenery folder, making sure you have "Use Folder Names" checked in you Win Zip dialog box. All necessary folders will be created within. You will need to access your FS9 Scenery library to complete installation of the scenery.

WHY IS THE AFCAD2 FILE REQUIRED?:The commercial aircraft are accurately assigned to their correct terminals and are properly lined up at their gates, and all of the cargo aircraft are accurately assigned to the cargo parking area. The only GA aircraft parking I created is for the default FS9 Learjet. Hey, those rich oil barons in their ten gallon hats gotta have somewhere to park their private jets! In addition, I used some of the Afcad2 features to expand ramp space in places. The scenery will not display correctly unless the included AF2_KIAH.bgl file is installed also.

WHERE IS THIS AF2_KIAH.BGL FILE?: You will find it located in the "KIAH Jetways" folder which you extracted to the FS9\Addon Scenery folder. Simply move it to you FS9\Addon Scenery\Scenery folder. If you have a previous version of this file installed you will need to remove it.

WHAT ABOUT THE CUSTOM FLIGHT PLANS?: You will also find this file, entitled "KIAH Flight Plans", in the "KIAH Jetways" folder which you extracted to the FS9\Addon Scenery folder. Additonial instructions for installing it are included within.

ONE LAST IMPORTANT NOTE: I attempted to use only two runways in this project, Rwy 15R/33L for takeoffs and Rwy 15L/33R for landings, and completely closing Rwy 9/27 and 8/26. However, when I attemted to do this, there was no longer any interactive text between the tower and the aircraft on the ground in the ATC window. The aircraft appeared to be taking off and landing normally, but I did not want to risk any further problems and restored the original settings. Apparently, when an attempt is made to use multiple runways in Afcad2 for FS2004, there can be problems. Hopefully this will be able to be rectified in the future.

CREDITS: Thanks to all of the designers of the FREEWARE Airport For Windows program, to Shehryar Ansari for his Gmax designed jetways, and to David Lawrence, whose flight plans he created back in FS2002 were used as a basis for my own.
